Christmas Crafts

Here are some of the cute Christmas crafts I made this past month.

I started making this Christmas house in November.  It took forever to make but I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I used the Maple Manor SVG Kit and turned it into a Christmas house.  I got the idea from here.

These little village boxes are so easy and fun to make.  I still have a little house to make that goes with it.  This is from Santa's Village SVG Kit.  The Santa Hat Box is also part of this kit.

I filled it with chocolates and gave them away.

This year I tried a new icing recipe for decorating sugar cookies.  I was so happy how they turned out.  We put them in really cute tins and gave them away as neighbor gifts.

This has nothing to do with Christmas but I made this last November for the Sister I visit teach.  It's part of the Leaves Are Falling SVG Kit.

Christmas 2013

I haven't been very good at keeping up on my blog.  Here a bunch of pictures of stuff we did this past month.

Our fake tree has been having some issues so this year we decided to go to a tree lot and get a real one.  I wanted to hike up the mountain and cut one down ourselves but Sam didn't seem to like that idea.

Not the best pictures - Preston and Spencer at the tree lot.

The boys helping daddy set up the tree.  They thought this was one of the most exciting things ever.

 Decorating the tree.

The decorations did not last long on the tree.  Most of the month only the top half was decorated because the boys kept taking everything they could reach off.  They would put all of the ornaments they could into their dump truck and push them all around.  One day Preston took all of the candy canes he could reach and put them in a container.  He brought them to me and said, "Look mommy, a yummy treat."

Decorating a gingerbread house.

One day Preston decided he wanted to wear Sam's hat.  He thought this was a good way to wear it.

The boys not wanting to see Santa.

Seeing Santa didn't quite go as well as it did last year. Preston was so excited to see him and has been talking about him all week saying that he wants cars, numbers, and letters. Once it was our turn to see him he started yelling "no, no, no."  The whole way home he cried because he wanted to, "go see Santa."

Riding the train at the mall.  They absolutely loved this.

Unwrapping their Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve.

This was the first picture I took and it turned out so good.  I never get both boys smiling.

Christmas morning, before the boys came down.

The Lego table Sam made the boys.  He did a really good job and it's huge.

Preston loves the race track he got.

We didn't take very many pictures Christmas day because we recorded a lot with our camcorder.  The boys were so happy when they came down the stairs and saw everything.

Halloween 2013

This year for Halloween we decided to dress up as superheros.  I'm not looking forward to the day when my kids want to do their own thing and not dress up with mom and dad.  We had tons of fun this year and Preston loved trick or treating.  The next day he kept asking if we could go trick or treating again.  Here are some fun pictures of us.

Superhero family: Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Superman, and Captain America.

Preston as Captain America

Spencer as Spiderman - He doesn't look too happy, we were trying to bribe him with candy to take his picture and he really wanted more.

Our trunk at the ward trunk or treating activity.

The next couple of pictures are from a Halloween Carnival we went to.  The boys had tons of fun playing games and winning candy.

October Crafts

Here are some crafts I made this past month.  If you haven't checked out SVG Cuts yet you really need to.  They have some of the most amazing paper crafts you can make.  I can't wait to get started on all of the stuff I'm going to make for Christmas.

Cute fall scarecrow from SVG Cuts Leaves Are Falling SVG Kit.

This Halloween house was the hardest and biggest paper project I have made yet.  I already can't wait to make a Christmas one.  This is from SVG Cuts Maple Manor SVG Kit

The back opens up where you can place tea lights.  It looks pretty neat with light shinning through the windows.

Cute Halloween card from the same kit at the house.

Pumpkin Patch

We decided to take the boys to the pumpkin patch just down the street from our house.  They had so much fun and we lucked out by missing the rain.

Spencer absolutely loved riding in the wheel barrel.  Every time we would take him out he just wanted back in.

Preston loved running all around.  We were constantly telling him to stay close to us.

Both of the boys in the wheel barrel.

Sam and the boys looking for the perfect pumpkin.

It is pretty much impossible to get a good picture of both of the boys at the same time.  This was as good as it got.

The boys did not want to take this picture.

Happy boys.

Spencer still tries to eat everything.

I really thought it was going to rain on us.

Spencer playing in the little maze they had.

Fall Crafts and a Few Other Things

My husband bought me a new cutting machine for my birthday, the silhouette cameo, so I've been busy making fun new crafts and cards.

I made these 3 pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin SVG Kit

I made a butterfly cupcake box and a cute card to go with it.   I got the idea from the High Skies SVG Kit.

I made this card from the Thank You For the Music SVG Kit.
