Happy Birthday Preston!

My little Preston turned 4 a couple of days ago and I can't believe how big he is getting.  We spent the morning at the zoo and then celebrated by having cake and ice cream after dinner.  Now that he's 4 he keeps saying that he'll be turning 5 soon.

Preston age 4

Here are some fun stories and facts about Preston:
- Whenever we ask him his favorite color he lists about 5 (usually peach and blue is included).
- He could eat a bowl of cereal for every meal if we let him.
- A couple of months ago we were watching the horses eat that live behind us.  I asked Preston, "What do horses eat?"  He quickly responded, "brown sugar."
- One afternoon Preston and I were reading a book and he was just staring at me.  I asked him what was up and he said, "I want to have big teeth like you."  I told him that one day his little teeth will fall out and bigger ones will grow in.  He was so excited that he said, "I want them to all fall out on my birthday."
- He loves anything with wheels and he already can't wait to drive.
- He is always asking me what time it is and is obsessed with letters and numbers.  While we were shopping the other day he kept having me count by 2's, 5's, and 10's.

Preston was looking forward to turning 4 and having birthday cake for about a month before his birthday.  I got the idea to make a number 4 cake from Pinterest and it was so easy to make.

Opening presents.

Sam and I got him a toy clock for his birthday.  After he opened it he showed it to the video camera and said, "I love this."  He then hugged it tight.

The Aquarium

A couple of weeks ago Sam's company had a company party at the new aquarium.  I was so excited to take the boys (and also because it was free for us).  Here are some pictures from our trip.

We ate lunch in a room that had this big glass window into one of the tanks.

This is my favorite picture.  He was so excited to see a penguin.

Teacher Gifts

As the school year was ending I wanted to make something for Preston's preschool teacher and his speech pathologist.  I got this idea from SVG cuts inspiration section entitled "Back to School Teacher Gift" by Amy McCabe.  The instructions to make this teacher gift can be found here.  Surprisingly they were really easy to make and I really liked how they turned out.
